How do you find Internet access through your television? Who is your service provider?

I'll swap you then! smiley - ok Second thoughts...You can have my bum and keep your tummy too! LOL! smiley - laugh

Self disciplined? Moi? ROFL!! smiley - devil

Milk and cheese were difficult to give up, but that was years ago and I can't stand them now and find them too sweet and slimy. smiley - ill I know this because occasionally I have eaten/drunk my hubby John's food/drink by mistake. smiley - yikes

My mum-in-law has Email access via her NTL digital television and I know that she can access websites such as Tesco's or Iceland's but didn't think it extended to the BBC website. smiley - wow One learns something every day!

Does having cable mean that you don't have to pay for your Internet access as a phone bill?

I get itchy feet too, usually when they're strapped into something that takes ages to undo and when I'm in the middle of a shop where it would be embarrassing to rip my boots off for a good scratch! LOL smiley - laugh

It's probably a similar thing to needing a loo as soon as I know that there isn't one for miles! smiley - angel

, To me the horror of public horrors though is the itchy bum cheeek! ,you're out shopping, its itching like mad and theres too many people around to be able to scratch it...!!
And as any internet access i get rom creeping through a back door in y email..yeah its free smiley - biggrin.

It must be great to be a chap as they never seem to worry when or where they have a good scratch! smiley - laugh

Speaking of chaps...Have you heard from your boyfriend since he apologised?

Your cable t.v. Internet access sounds great! smiley - ok How do you find it for speed (ie how fast do pages load)?

I'd love to have access to cable here but it isn't available where we live although I've tried to talk my mum-in-law into getting a small pc. However, she's worried that she'll end up neglecting her art/letter writing (she's a retired art teacher and is an artist who is a Bohemian type of person). smiley - bigeyes

Sorry about your elbow. I have a similar problem with carrying heavy bags, etc as I've had surgery twice for prolapsed pelvic muscles and really need another operation for my uterus this time but can't bear the thought of being out of action for up to six months afterwards.

*Martyred grin* smiley - angel

Luckily for me, our local Co-Operative superstore is only 10 minutes walk away and provides a free home delivery service to customers who spend £15 or more.

It's an extremely handy service as I get to walk a lot more and last year, we clocked less than 3,000 miles on our car and I must have saved a fortune in petrol fees! smiley - biggrin

Long may your sneaking in via the backdoor to h2g2 continue. smiley - laugh If you suddenly stop appearing, then I'll know that you've been rumbled. smiley - erm

Have you thought of booking Internet sessions at your local public library? I believe they're free of charge... smiley - ok

My Email address is gwen at theveryleast dot freeserve dot co dot uk (without the spaces and transpose the "at" with an "@"). Please feel free to drop me a line. It would be a way of keeping in touch if ever you do loose access to h2g2. smiley - bigeyes

My mum-in-law uses Iceland's home delivery and places her orders by phone (she's had both her hips replaced over the past two years and so has been housebound for quite a time and would have been lost without the home delivery service). Touch wood, she hasn't had any reason to complain and even received a box of smiley - choc and bottle of wine when she came home from hospital following her first operation. smiley - ok I reckon that she'd been chatting up the delivery driver! LOL! smiley - tongueout

I'd visit your doctor and get things down below sorted out as soon as possible were I you, rather than leaving it as I did. I think the younger one is, the better chance one has of recovering more quickly. smiley - cool What would you do with your son if you had to stay in hospital? smiley - erm

HI ..hope I didnt confuse you by changing my name smiley - smiley.

Yep it definately sounds like your mum had been chatting someone up!lol
As for what id do with my smiley - monsterif I went into hospital, well ive had to have 3 operations since he was born!so im sure id manage.
The first was for my pelvic floor, was in about 4 days, the 2nd was a big tummy up for a massive ovarian cyst ,was only in 3 days cos i wanted to go home earlier cos of family probs ,and the 3rd was when they had to put my elbow back together ,was in 5 days then .
The first 2 times he tayed with my mum,and the last time he stayed with a friend.

Been quite in the wars haven;t I ..am not 25 yet,lol

Tsk! For a mere child, you certainly have been in the wars, haven't you? smiley - erm I'll be loaning you my Zimmer frame before you know it! smiley - tongueout

About five years ago my hubby and I were talking about all the injuries and broken bones he'd suffered during his life. Very stupidly I proudly stated that I'd never broken anything in my life, to which John said that I must have had a very boring childhood! smiley - tongueout

Less than a week later I fell down the stairs when I tripped on some laundry that has escaped my arms and broke my left leg, just above the ankle in two places. smiley - yikes

Because it was about 2.00 a.m. and the kids were asleep in bed, John had to call an ambulance out to take me to hospital. No one, not even the ambulance men believed that I was sober, as the night I had chosen to fall down the stairs was New Year's Eve! smiley - wahsmiley - laugh
