I am primarily a coffee drinker because I found all Canadian teas to be bitter, dry tasting and could actually cause nausea if a 2nd cup was had too soon. Until a lovely Lady from Essex mailed me some of her PG-Tips. She deemed three varieties that I sent her to be floor sweepings, and so keeps me well stocked for that few times a week when I just want a tea ...
And when she visited a pair of years ago, brought more for her own consumption.

I drink neither tea nor coffee. In fact it's quite rare to see me with a hot drink. I just never got the taste as I was growing up. T'Other half is very much a tea drinker who has very strong views on teabags (ie don't). She drinks a lot of loose leaf tea by preference. Me, I drink a lot of artificially sweeten cordial and carbonated soft drinks (it plays merry hell with my blood glucose levels otherwise).

Never actually had much of taste for any of the carbonated drinks. Some days, a ginger-ale is okay, but that is rare. I suppose coffee was just a common 'thing' in my whole back-ground.
Marmite, on the other hand, was something else I learned of from this site and that same Lady of Essex. And now I always have a measure in the house, those most often used as a hint of additive to some cooking and roastings ...

I don't know if you've been pointed to some of the tv ads Marmite have done over here, the theme has been love it or hate it. When I'm back at my work desktop I'll try and put some links up for you.

I've been on (or atleast around) h2g2 for about seven and a half years, ... I'm somewhat familiar with the two-camp theory. Some of the adverts would be fun. I know that I have enjoyed a few of the seasonal ones from PG-Tips

Youngster There were some ads shown during the last UK election for both the 'love it' and 'hate it' parties that were fun.

Hey, not ALL of us knew of the BBC and the h2g2 site back in the days of the Apple IIc ...
I do enjoy the comic attentions that our newsies can draw when elections come around. We had both a national and a provincial one this year, so I got some good chuckles
