h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My name is vectusian and was born in Cowes Isle of Wight on the 27th
of May 1934. I feel this makes me a true vectusian with my ancestors
all coming from the Isle of Wight. While I no longer live there as I now reside in New Zealand and have done so for the last 40 years.
What can I say about myself I served an Engieering Apprentiseship
and joined the Merchant Navy and sailed with The New Zealand Shipping
Company serving on the R.M.S. Ruahine, M.S.Hauranui,S.S.Dorset and
M.S. Whangaroa.In that time I was able to visit such places as Australia,New Zealand, Germany, Beligum,Holland, Italy, Sweden, Finland, United States,and Canada. Each of these places would have a story to tell, but I am not going to say. In the course of my journeys
I met a New Zealand girl which led to marriage back in England and the
first of our four children was born. Due to bitter weather and having to live in a caravan due to having children. We set sail for New Zealand.Where I as I said before,lived for 40 years.
During this time I sang with the Wellington Gilbert and Sullivan society, Was envolved with the Scout Movement as a Group Leader
gain my Wood beads and went to on to enjoy my 15 years with the movement.There are many more things that I did in this time.
