h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm one if the Assistant Community Editors here & we pop in to greet/welcome recent registrants & give them some directions for getting around the site. First of all, being relatively new you can visit the 'I am new, what do I do now?' page@ A868098 , or for a welcome other than mine visit the 'Welcome page'@ A53146 ...and although I'm sure you're the calm, collected type, you might want to take the <./>dontpanictour</.> .

A prominent part of h2g2 are the smileys, you'll find a complete listing@ A155909 . It's divided into categories & gives simple instructions for using each one,...plus, you're able to refer back to it at any time by just typing smileys into the search window. Another good idea, is to check 'spicing up your page'@ A690518 or you might want to look at both the 'picture gallery' ( A692741 ) & 'the GuideML clinic' - which I've been told isn't quite as difficult as it might seem at first glance ( A187229 ).

You might be interested to know that like most sizeable communities h2g2 has it's own newspaper <./>thepost</.> which comes out every Thursday. And like most large communities, it also has numerous Clubs & Societies, you'll find a complete listing of those@ A660340 .
