Hopefully - we'll see. Last time she had surgery she had an infection after and recovery took quite a while, obviously we're hoping things will go better this time.

It certainly wasn't nice, but that was almost 5 years ago and everything turned out fine in the end.

The last time I had surgery I kept forgetting to breathe while I was in the recovery theatre. Eventually they brought hubby in see if I would respond to him.

I *do* remember telling him that I would chop off the nurse's fingers if she didn't stop prodding my shoulder!!

He told her that was normal for me, that I am cranky if I'm woken up

She was happy when I phoned her at lunch, so that's a good sign. She says her stomach's sore, but overall she's comfortable.

I still haven't moved office. The University does not have more than 2 keys for our new office. Until we get keys, we can't move in.

She's fine - she's just sent me a text asking me to get her a magazine on my way home tonight. I spoke to her at lunchtime and she's trying to be a little more active today.

Hi BB!

Sorry for not being online for a while. I've had so much to do

Got two bedrooms finished and the carpets are being laid next week. Then we can rebuild our wardrobes and get rid of boxes which are currently storing clothes

Due to Hubby wanting to change the fire and surround in the lounge - which means reinstating a gas pipe - we have decided not to knock ourselves out decorating and having a new carpet laid before Christmas. So we will just buy a huge rug to hide the deep stains in the old carpet for now

How is Mrs BB? I hope she's recovering well from her operation

I've just come back from meeting up with her and the kids for lunch, and feeling a little bloated (we went to Harry Ramsden's, although the children had a healthy packed lunch).

I've moved office now and am unpacking - we don't have a working phone line where we are yet, but it's quite good fun. I quite like the lack of phones, to be honest.

Good luck with getting everything sorted - sounds like you're making real progress.
