Sunday today. I need to clean the oven, wash the kitchen floor and so forth. I wonder how long I can put this off.

Well, I've cleaned the oven and the rest of the kitchen, dusted the entire house and hacked down some more ivy. Washing the floors can wait until this evening after I've vacuumed.

Today I have to wear a tie. Not fair - it's such a stupid thing to have to do in summer. *sigh* The blasted Minister is going to be dropping in for a visit.

I must send you the tie the Kangaroo wore for the wedding. It will be certain to become a topic of conversation!

My nose started to bleed, so I got to come home before the Minister arrived at the office. Hurrah for nosebleeds!

How did you manage to instigate that??

I'm not sure, but I think my blood pressure must have been elevated by the stress of trying to think of a way to be polite to the Minister when I loathe his policies so much.

Spoke to Mum last night; she concedes that a windmill might not be completely practical, and she's going to make a formal offer on the local place within the next couple of days. She's had a builder friend of ours looking at it, and he says it's well-built, so now it's just a matter of sorting out her finances. She'll be doing that today. The bank has already agreed to give her a bridging loan.

Yay!! All systems are GO!!!
