By the way, the Problem Child is officially sick for the last three days - and tomorrow and Friday he'd already booked as days off so he could take the family skiing. I have a nasty suspicious mind...

I don't blame you.. Too convenient

So I came home early today on account of feeling ghastly, and I'm going to have to take a week off hootoo to deal with all sorts of stuff in the office as a result of the Thing getting out of control today, and I'm now going to Melbourne next week without the boss but with someone else who isn't across the details of what we're trying to do... On the bright side, I don't have to take the Problem Child.

So anyway. I'm here tonight, but then I'll be offsite for a week. I'll be on MSN when possible.

Do you think the Problem Child had an idea Things would derail, and took the opportunity to keep his head down?

I'll be here, and emails are always open for slow chats

That would require far too much forethought on the Problem Child's part. Besides, he thinks he's indispensable in a crisis which is funny because he sometimes doesn't notice there's a crisis until it's been dealt with.
