I like that, because it brings back summer holiday camping memories of my youth thunderstorms in tent at night. the following day look for flooded, inexperienced camping wanna bees in badly placed tents

it happened to us too, when started...later we had tent that holded storms for more 20 yrs. storms with winds 65 miles an hour.

we bought tent that was specially made for Wadden islands in that time the tent was made of fabric weighing about 2.85 onces, but that was too expensive so later yrs they used 2.11 onces. the whole tent was about 110 lb.

we always were camping for 6 weeks in the dunes about 40 yards from the Northsea beach.

It always seems to be cold near the North Sea..

...few times I was getting some one from thar ferry while I was wearing shorts and t-shirt they were wearing coats and long trouser.

I went to island called Vlieland. one of the dryest places of the Netherlands. also when sun shined in morning it would warm up the sand and keep place sunny.

few times the sand was so hot that we couuld walk bared footed.

Oh..

I Vlieland. tourists are not allowed bring motorised transport. on the camping no pets allowed. I just realised that I have not been camping in 10 yrs. last time was summer before my dad died and later my complications with diabetes. both made mr not like camping any more.

I am glad I feel better in way!

no, I like camping to be primitive (with shower /toilet facilities), but they are also dark at night. I am nigh blind so bit dangerous if I have go thru dunes...
