just been to a mates, to help him with his adsl modem set-up, got there and now his phoneline is down, he has had to report a fault

I am thinking switching phone provider, but their "join" webpage is not working. that is not good start, I think!
but 65 % cheaper subscription might make it up..

over here the government told British telecom to open up the broadband monopoly to competition, so now all ISP's are advertising 1meg upwards for broadband, at different prices

we have KPN. they have all ready opened up a bit, but most phone lines go thru them. the internet providers start with phones lines too now. my cable internet has phone lines too.

KPN was responsible for Telephone (KPN) and Postal service (TPG), but they split them. the postal service (TPG) merged TNT in the 90s (I think) and become TNT this year. funny thing KPN: Koninklijke PTT (Post Telefoon Telegraaf) Nederland in English Royal Dutch Post Telephone Telegraph. so no post in KPN.

now-a-days, everyone is buying out each other, you don't know who owns who anymore, as long as the profits goes into their pockets, at our expense

KPN was state company, but private. silly enough they had buy 3G mobile phone licence. it nearly brought KPN down.

the goverment should have made for "special mobile tax per 100.000 users"" instead, but still they followed onther countries and held a action for 3G.

a time will come in the near future, that all phone type communication will be one company for the world

phone subscription for the phone numbers you call regular and no cost per min and for other your pay little extra.

tv subscription when you want see it. the newer movies the more you pay. you do not mind commercial you can get it for free.

in the Netherland there more mobile phones (16.4 million), than Dutch people (16 million).
