Bearing in mind where I work, I se a lot of people with bad spells of diarrhoea...

It is incredible how many different ways people try to spell it, but one of my favourites was "Dire rear"

One specimen card I received had three attempts at the word, all different, all crossed out. Then something had been tipp-ecksed out.... then the wrote "Loose stools".

I looked carefully through the back of the form, and I could just make out, under the coerrection fluid, the words "The Sh*ts"!!

I put down "The squits" on a nursing exam and got a higher mark for that answer than someone who tried to spell diarrhoea.

I have alittlebook in which I collect all the amusing diagnosisisss that we find on specimen cards.

One of my favourites was:

Diagnosis: Patient unable to pass urine.
Speciman: Urine.


Also this week we received on - I realise what they *meant*, but I had to chuckle when I read:
"Post stroke. Penile discharge."

Hoggy, I know you're from yorkshire and therefore talk funny, but the plural of diagnosis is diagnoses [pron: die-agg-know-seas]

If poop jokes are too difficult then go with fart jokes instead...jokes about anesthetists are good if you're going into surgery.
