Hello . How're you doing? This site is kind of big and confusing so I thought I'd see if you're settling in alright.
Want some and ?

In one of the chat rooms (I don't visit anymore as the spamming got on my nerves) we had a confused couch...

An Assistant Community Editor. We're volunteers who greet new researchers and generally help out on site. Have a look at the Ace homepage if you want to know more.

Oh ok, I think I understand as I am a volunteer moderator in one of the bigger boards... thanks. ACE sounds greast but we have a nice name too!

There's lots of volunteer groups here; there's also the scouts, community artists, gurus, sub-editors, post reporters and field researchers. Though I think ACEs have the best name.

You might also want to join one of the many clubs and societies on site. There's a list of them at A630019.

Hey thankies for stopping by! Well I tried that with some (interesting) names so pretty randomly but none of the researchers have responded yet.

You mean you've left messages on peoples spaces? I wouldn't worry, it can take time for people to reply. Once I left a message and didn't get a reply for two months.

Wow 2 months? and how do you keep track on things? I have the my conversations window open, is this the best way?

Laura Posted Dec 28, 2003
That was an exceptional case. I don't tend to use the conversation box myself, but plenty of people do. I tend to just check on my page to see if there are any new postings and how many. I also subscribe to some forums (suck as <./>askh2g2</.> and <./>miscchat</.> so I know when new threads are written. I can then either post in them or unsubscribe depending on the thread topic.
Anyway, I'm off .
