"Why do we 'have' to use the email system for corrections?
Nobody is perfect and small typo's and errors can be done on a dedicated forum if you not want them to be on the respective Article or Frontpage. In my opinion it also helps to build the Guide as a dynamic, living and always changing system. "

You don't *have* to use the email system but, horror of horrors, I am not always logged in to h2g2 but do check my email every 5 minutes. So, an email alert usually tends to get sorted far faster than a forum entry.
Plus, of course, we are not infallible but would like everyone here to think we are.
