I am admitting this now before it gets out of hand. I used to think I could just take it or leave it when it came to the internet. I have since found this not to be true. I only registered three days ago and have already clocked up over 20 hours of net time. This is seriously cutting into my socialising. I am supposed to be down the pub getting completely off my head every other minute of the day, not having sensible conversation with other people. But I don't want to change, it's just too much fun.

Thanks for listening, got any advice?

As for advice, I've no idea. People tend to get bored and wander off after a bit, never to be heard from again, or just a week away. But more and more researchers seem to be joining all the time, which generates more and more threads to join in and people to know.

Sorry 'bout the delay, just had dinner, those sandwiches didn't fill me up and eating is not allowed in the library (more problems with being a student), I then went down the pub to try to find a nickname, it isn't working.

The cravings were too much, a mere 4 hour break and I had to get another hit (this is baginning to sound like that movie, Trainspotting).

As for sensible conversation, anything is more sane than what some of my friends used to talk about. But they have all left me to go to other universities. I shall have to meet more people here, a healthy dose of insanity is good for the system. They do say there is a fine line between genius and insanity, maybe I'm just confused and have moved it a little too far?

The first challenge (I've been told) is to admit you have a problem. We three are already moving in the right direction. The next step is to find help.

Nah that costs too much. As its free, I'll just hang around here for a bit longer.

Probably won't be long before they can stop charging people money, put all their ill-gotten gains in the bank and just run the business off the interest.

Oh well if they keep making money at these charges for phone calls, they won't need to put them up so it shouldn't get any more expensive unless we spend more time on-line (very likely).

Heard today that phone companies are being told to reduce charges for Internet, as you wouldn't have to pay to look in a shop, and they want to encourage Internet shopping (or something like that).

(Anyway, you haven't seen me. I'm not here, okay!)
