Undertaking a massive project

I've been reading through the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (The actual book) and I've discovered that although there is the odd edited entry here on hootoo about the galaxy most of this is the Hitch Hiker's Guide to Earth. Therefore I'm working on a project called "True HooToo" which will collate all of the articles, edited or not that focus on theoriginal aim of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (to inform a person on how to see the entire galaxy on a mere 30 Altairean Dollars a day) and link to them with a profoundly easy-to-use contents page system and also to encourage new entries along these lines.

I think I'll need some help so I'm going to begin recruiting "THT Scouts" and "THT Editors" to find articles that belong here, ask the author's permission and then send me a link to said article. If we believe it needs a few changes we'll copy the entire GuideML code into a seperate article, giving the researcher full credit and edit it only where absoluteley necessary. This will be te job of th THT Editors.

If you believe you have what it takes to be a THT Scout then post on my space or the THT page with a link to your first scouted entry (with permission mind you. I will be checking) and thenameofte autor (and a link to their userspace. If you think you've got what it takes to be a THT Editor then you must first recruit as a scout, scout an entry that requires editing, obtain the author's permission and then edit it in the way detailed above until it is correct, definitive and well-presented.

My brother needs to visit anger management...

My brother was playing a game online (America's Army) and I'd downloaded the patch to update my version so I could play against him but it hadn't worked, so he idly suggests uninstalling it and re-downloading (it's a free download game). Anyway I start doing that and my brother suddenly shouts from his room "Can you stop that download 'cos it's interfering with my game" because he was getting "lag" (a condition where an online game stutters due to too much bandwidth being used). Anyway I replied "no" because if I stopped I'd only have to start the download another time and my brother says "fine" in the classic teenage stroppy voice and proceeds to claim he'll have to play his second favourite game, which is apparently deleting files from my computer. Anyway I believe he's bluffing but I walk in to check and there he is, sitting idly watching his desktop. He cleary was bluffing. He shouts at me for walking in without knocking and I shrug and walk back into my room to check the download, 6%.

My brother goes into the kitchen to get a drink and I sneak into his room to check on him and lo and behold he's on my user space (we're connected via a network). Anyway I close that down and walk back into my room but my brother catches me doing it. He shouts at me again for entering his room without knocking and I shout back that he shouldn't have entered my user-space without "knocking". Anyway more shouting ensues with my brother going off shouting "nah nah" while I try to reason with him. It confuses me that my brother:

1. considers the game that important and
2. when I threatened to disconnect my brother from the network because he was messing around on my user space (the network hub is in my room) he got angry?

So now me and my brother are at a stalemate. He's currently no-where near my computer-space and is watching TV but if I go near him he'll probably start calling me a "weakling" and other such feable insults. I don't usually mind because he'll cool off eventually, but the problem is that within a week he'll be in my room with me (the roof is coming off for some building work to be done, but my side of the roof will be still standing while his side is off) for up to 3 months! I won't be able to take the stress I tell you so I'm going to suggest two solutions to my parents (I'm 16 so I won't have to put up for him for very long anyway but I'd still like some peace in the house while I am there):

1. We make my brother go to bed really, REALLY early.
2. We shunt him off to anger management.

So which would you prefer to happen? Come back next week at the same time for the next episode of Big Brother where we find out what happened to the annoying brat.

Poisoned

So, I've been ill for the last three days, no biggy just a headache, muscle pains and a strange problem with my eye muscles. At first I thought it was because I hadn't had much sleep the night before, so I rested through an entire day and, although that was bliss, I did not recover. Ever seen the sixth sense? The bit with the girl who was being kept sick by her mother? Well my mum had told me to have some piriton (it's drowsy you see and I still thought I was too tired). So I took one per day but my condition only got worse. Today after three days of being ill me and my mother both realised that the piriton I'd taken was about three years past it's use-by date. Unlike in the Sixth Sense this was not done intentionally because my mother had lost the box for the piriton and she is forgetful so I don't blame her. Still it's good to know I'm on the mend now eh?
