Julian Boardman, lost in the Midlands
Living in Derby isn't a lot of fun, especially when you've had to drop out of the appalling university here through lack of funds. I was doing Film and TV (a useless degree if ever I heard one) but I'm now trying to scrape a living as a freelance videogames journalist for magazines like PC Gaming World. The one consolation up here is my delightful girlfriend, but frankly I'd rather be in Bristol, Bath or London. I grew up in Wiltshire so Bristol and Bath both have the advatage of being the home for a few close friends and about seven million times more interesting than the cultural backwoods I find myself in now. London's just London. What can I say? I'm bored.
I am actually far more cheerful than the previous paragraph might suggest. Honest. And I cling to a firm belief that one day soon Liverpool FC, (I support them because I was born there) will win the premiership.
