Hi Crescent!
Jimi X Started conversation Nov 11, 1999
I noticed in a forum somewhere that you commented about the delay in getting articles approved. The good news is that your entries should be coming up in the near future. The bad news is that we're treading water right now. Entries keep getting submitted as fast as we sub-edit them. So the queue doesn't seem to be getting smaller. We ARE working on it though. I've got another batch to go to TPTB later this week...
We'll be getting to you soon! I haven't had any of my entries subbed yet either. Mine are in the 140000's but I think we've started in the 140000's because some other 140000-series entries have been Approved. Hope this helps!
BTW: Great entry on the A Team - classic television at its best. Though I don't know why they always used those Mini-14 Assault Rifles - you'd think they would get something better at some point (but I guess having a weapon that never runs out of ammo is something to be prized!).

It wasn't so much for my enteries as, say, a counter on the frontpage giving the average number of weeks that you would have to wait for a freshly submitted article to get looked at. (though thanks for the comment on the A Team).

Are you thinking of something like:
Number of Weeks until a submitted entry is read by a sub-editor - (Who bloody knows?)
That, I think, is the most accurate way to do it...

Totally off the subject, I'm just popping my head in to say "hi" to a few of my fellow ACEs. Hi!

Woohoo, iv'e got one . My thanks, now do want it put in the main text (with full accredation of course), or would you rather it remained just in the forum ?

You're the boss! Whichever you choose is fine with me...
Read it and let me know if it makes sense?
Hi Crescent!
Crescent Posted Dec 1, 1999
It makes sense and it will be placed into the main page with full honours (but as it reaches 17:00, and it is time to go home, it will be tomorrow (or maybe tonight if I can be bothered to set up the PC and install the modem etc.)

That all went over my head, but as I'm new in this forum, it would, wouldn't it?
Hi Crescent!

Jimi X kindly placed one of his childhood selection rhymes in the selection rhyme forum, (see http://www.h2g2.com/A211285 ), now today I am going to update the page to include it (last night I couldn't be bothered going through the whole modem setup hassle). I hope this makes a bit more sense, or am I just rambling again.......

Hi Joanna Thank you for popping by I try to say hi to as many newbies as poss. Unfortunatly work keeps getting in the way The selection rhymes are falling behind, G stopped by and left some variations, but I havn't had time to update it Other entries and work keep jumping in (I find if I have an idea for an entry it has to be started right away or that's it gone into the great black hole in my mind But what can you do Well enough of my ramblings and whinging How are you? Found a flat/house yet ?

We've found a house, but its not on the market yet as the landlady needs to get some certificates and stuff to show that the gas isn't going to poison us etc. So now we get to wait 'till next week, when, fingers crossed she'll call us to offer us the house...
I keep finding Uni work getting in the way of H2G2 time, however today I'm lucky 'cause my maths was easy, so I have more time to spend here

I found first year a breeze, but second year was a real shocker (of course the drinking didn't help - well it did, but not in the right way
