Greetings All.
I am DraconusRex, but you can call me Rex. I am from Salem, Massachusetts, United States of America, Planet Earth.
I stumbled in here looking for something or other, and thought it was just what I needed.
I am a Medically Retired United States Navy Hospital Corpsman, rated at 100% Disabled and unemployable, therefore, I have some time on my hands. (Usually, anyway!)
My main goal in life, besides achieving happiness and World Peace through understanding, is an impossible one. Simply stated, I want to know everything about everything! Fortunately, like others of my family, I am a "Virtual Fountain of Useless Information (VFOUI) and absorb trivial things like a sponge. What I like best, besides my 3 Daughters, is History. American, European, Asian, Military, Naval, or Scientific, I love it all! (Yes, I'm the annoying guy who can watch a historically based movie and point out that the armor is Spanish from the 16th Century when it should be English from the 15th, and that they are using the wrong weapons, et al.) I don't say this out of hubris, it's just who I am.
Anyhow, having read the original "Hitchhiker's Guide" and its sequels, I figured this would be a good place for me to sign on and see what I can learn. (and maybe teach a thing or two.)
