Practice what you preach
Big E Started conversation Sep 7, 2001
Oi you, how can you preach that one '..should not enforce your thoughts, beliefs, or ideas on to other people...' whilst doing exactly that.
My own guiding inspiration would be to force or coerce all, man or beast, to obey my will. Hence everyone does what I say, I get what I want, can't see the problem.
On the other hand, that would be rubbish as I'm not always right. Or am I?
Nevertheless, the prospect of everyone being able to make their own choices frightens me, have you met the people out there? They're clinically stupid.
Every day I see people in charge of motor vehicles that I would not give charge of a hairdryer to - that's scary on the M6 I can tell you.
One sees people incapable of controlling themselves being allowed to have children of their own - perpetuating the lack of control in society. Indeed it is exactly these out of control individuals that are likely to have above average numbers of offspring. That cannot be good for society or evolution. Where does Darwinian theory go when the 'fittest' breed less than the, well PC aside, less fit?
Without, I hope, declaring my ambitions for a master race I see no future for mankind without control. Anarchy, especially in conception, will prove the end of us all.
Others would argue that population is inherently pyramidal with a mass of dross at the base, gradually improving quality whilst diminishing quantity until we reach the peak(me - only kidding, I'm from Newcastle after all). I accept this to a degree but it still does not answer the main question in my mind: What is the efficacy of Evolution? If it is, as is simplistically accepted, a survival of the fittest how do so many of the less fit prevail. Darwinism allows no trial and error as far as I can derive from the selective(scant) reading I have managed on the subject. And what of the elite? The offspring of these enjoy privilege but there appears no defining transfer of anything that made their parents elite. Their continuance is predicated on the transfer of wealth. that's not Darwinian theory, or is it?
I must go now as lunchtime is over but, if I can ever find this site again, I will return to taunt you further.
I wish you well
