i'm also a Star Trek, Stargate, and Whose Line fan. Check out the "Ultimate Fan" page for my other interests. Here are some basic questions:
WHy are stargates one-way?
Why aren't there seatbelts on federation starships?
How many shuttles does Voyager have, anyway?
Aren't teh best Whose Line games Hats and Props?
How come everyone in the stargate universe can speak english? At least Star Trek has the Universal Translater.

Good questions... (sorry for not answering for ages)
I don't know why stargates are one-way, it could be because they have to dissassemble whatever's going through and even the Ancients (they built them, didn't they? I think it's in 'The Fifth Race') couldn't get them to work if matter was coming through both ways. And it could be dangerous if you tred to enter a 'gate while someone was exitting on the same side. On the other hand, radio waves from communication devices go both ways... could have something to do with wave-length or the amount of energy in them. Or could be to make it easier for writers. Hmm.
Seatbelts in starships - or securing stuff in cargo bays - would be sensible. But then, when ever Quark's bar on DS9 or Sickbay on the Enterprise shakes, the bottles and things stay still.
Maybe Voyager makes their own shuttles (they made the Delta Flyer, after all, and they can salvage stuff from the Delta Quadrent).
Whose Line games- yup, Hats and Props are good. But I like TV Shows too (the one where two people do a scene and the host says TV programmes or genres they have to do it in the style of). But then I like all of the games.
Maybe Stargate people speak English because they have Babel fish or universal translators - but haven't told Daniel Jackson, who'd be upset as he'd be out of his job.
