Hi Elaine,
Had a bit of full life eh. You say you were looking forward to semi-retiremet. I am coming up to retirement soon but I have the option of staying on full time .Im undecided at present, what do you suggest. I think I would be bored with nothing to get ouy of bed for. I suppose it all depends on your health.Looking forward to hearing from you.
Pal-ladin.

jst want to join in about retirement as it is in my neck of the woods. I've been in Panama since 1951; retired in 1987 with a pension from the Social security here.you know we are treated very well-every bank, has special windows for retirees(us), discount for food in all restaurants; good discounts for medicines bought from chenist shops, called pharamacies here, similar discounts for movies- AS my cheques are paid into my bank account I have to report twice yearly to the Social Securty so they can see i am alive( proof of life). We have two types of identicicaion..a cedula(personal ID) and the other the social security ID. The initial personal IDs are given FREE but if you I loseit I pay for a new one.
