War Baby
This article was written as a contribution to a History project set up by the North Down and Ards Branch of the University of the Third Age in Bangor, County Down. Our History Group members are mostly from the local area but many of them served in England and overseas during WW2 and have lots of interesting stories to tell.
My own area of interest is the home front of the Great War, and I have just had a book printed about the home front in Bangor, Co Down. The title is Home Fires - Bangor in the Great War and is available at £6.50, from the North Down Heritage Centre or Balloo Moon, Greyabbey Antiques Courtyard.
