It is actually about the first time I have been here since 1999 - I signed up when I first heard about the site thinking that it was a really neat idea, then 4 weeks later my internet access got pulled for 12 whole months.

I shall hopefully be writing some articles as soon as I get 30 free seconds, since in the last three years I have changed from being a computer geek to being a geek of all trades.

I wonder if h2g2 has an IRC channel anywhere? Off I trot to do a quick search on netsplit.de :o)

If I lost my net access for that long, I'd go nuts!! I panic when it won't connect for an hour, never mind a year

So, how does it feel to be back? I see you're finding your way around ok. Anything I can do to help?

I know what you mean! In one way or another I have had internet access for nearly 10 years now, but there have been large gaps in that.

As for help.. I recently posted something to the colaborative forum, so if you know anything about IRC or want to correct my apalling spelling I would love that :o)
