h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Peter I wrote yesterday asking for some help if possible, there was one of those glitches when you lose the site and it comes up as not found. That is happening more often these days.
The question was;- I have written a story on the Wartime Dance Hall keeping it in file whilst I honed it.
Can I put it on this site from file or does it mean writing it out in full.
Would welcome any solution and if it means a full write out well so be it.
I am following the thread on When did Hitler Lose the war with interest but have not joined in as I do not have the facts and figures you have. Know your limitations is a good motto.

All you need do with any piece of text, and in essence that is what a story is, that you wish to post or transfer anywhere is :

1. Highlight it. There are several ways of doing this. In the Edit menu click Select All; or drag your mouse pointer over the text; or press the Shift key and then the Arrow keys, to mention but three.

2. Copy to the Clip Board with Ctrl+c

3. Paste in with Ctrl+v

If this isn't what you mean, let me know Frank.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the info. I did several practice runs and it worked perfectly and then tried to put the story onto the site. It went off everywhere I think it is on the notice board at Stockton Town Hall but could I hell get it onto Peoples War.
Several attempts followed by an urge to set fire to the machine, I did it the hard way.
I manage to get stuff off here into file but some how the reciprocal evades me. The story is on and I think that must be about the end so it does not matter now.
Thanks again for the help but it did not save me work, that always happens to me, the hard way every time.
