Thanks for the welcome, and for the links!
I had contacted h2g2 support, but I think we got our wires crossed on some of the account details so haven't been able to sort out the issues there yet. It's not much of a problem anymore, as most of the people I used to talk to seem to have left anyway, so I'm not missing out on much by having a new account.
I'm sure I'll catch you on my travels.... don't forget to pack a smiley - towel !
