hi Granny,thanks for you're time, visited the links you posted and came to the conclusion that this is going to take a little time to get my head round (old dog new tricks thingy), I only have about ten million questions' but for fear of becoming a hae'morrhoid I'll say thanks and bounce around a little more, and see if I can pick some stuff up!!.

just one thing I'm not sure about, my space, you're space,A614747, what's the difference?

My Space, my home page on h2g2 is U140245, and A614747 is the page I created to put all the links I found helpful when I first joined h2g2. Basically the difference is in the first letter. Any number preceded by U is a Researchers home page or Space, and any number preceded by A is either an article for the Edited Guide, a page created for a specific purpose like A732458, or a page for anything else you can think of
