Chapter 11
Posted Mar 8, 2005
Thirty spokes converge upon a single hub;
It is on the hole in the center that the use of the wheel hinges.
We make a vessel from a lump of clay;
It is the empty space within the vessel that makes it useful.
We make doors and windows for a room;
But it is these empty spaces that make the room livable.
Thus, while the tangible has advantages,
It is the intangible that makes it useful.

The People's Journal
Posted Mar 5, 2005
From now on all of my journal entries will be made in the lounge. Why? Because I want the lounge to be a place where everyone can shout out about whatever they want and actually discuss things! Tell me stuff and I'll tell you stuff and just think of all the stuff we can discuss!
Come one, come all. Free drinks and walkmen!
Oh, and I consider everyone in the MOTMV on my friends list, even if you technically aren't yet. Welcome!

Woah

Hey...er, this thing on? Freeow. So I like got sucked into this weird space-time rift thingy and when I came out I was on a very strange planet. I met this guy on a horse. I told him I needed to get back to earth and he said he believed me and showed me a door. I walked through the door and a year later (er, maybe two years later) I'm living in Japan! Zarquon!

Tom Cruise is NOT the Last Samurai
Posted Nov 15, 2003
I'm sorry but I'm getting sick of recent advertising trying to tell me that the last samurai is a rich, white, Scientologist. I might have been able to stand it if they'd made a movie based on Shogun but this is basically just Dances With Wolves with Japanese instead of Native American Indians. They should have just called it Dances With Samurai. They don't even speek Japanese... so insulting. I know, I know... Relax, it's only another dumb movie. Argh...

Not in the face!
Posted Nov 10, 2003
Well I just posted that monster fiancee visa piece for peer review. I hope it goes over well.
Once that's settled I'll get on with something about how to keep the person here and established as a green card holder, as I'm undergoing that process now. And boy is it fun. Even better than the fiancee bit.
I wish the government would stay out of my personal life but... oh well, it's worth it for her.
