Thirty spokes converge upon a single hub;
It is on the hole in the center that the use of the wheel hinges.
We make a vessel from a lump of clay;
It is the empty space within the vessel that makes it useful.
We make doors and windows for a room;
But it is these empty spaces that make the room livable.
Thus, while the tangible has advantages,
It is the intangible that makes it useful.

Glad you like it.
It's by Lao Tsu, Chapter 11 of the 'Tao Teh Ching'.
Ment to put that at the bottom but forgot.

Taoism?... reminds me of this one class I'm taking, Theory of Knowledge
I'm kind of in this "Japan" phase, FYI. Reading books, watching manga, eating seaweed...

I'm kind of on a Japan Phase too...living here and all. Loa Tsu(or Tzu, or Tze) was Chinese though.
What manga are you into? I'm not big on manga so much but there are a few anime that I like such as Trigun and Cowboy Bebop.

Saw 1st Cowboy Bebop movie, loved the asthetics, but kind of didn't have a memorable plot. They were bounty hunters, right?
Also saw Metropolis, Spirited away, and the one with the skinny guy and the fat guy... darn, forgot the name.
Also read Battle Royale, which is supposed to be a "pulp classic" novel, but who can say?
