I am an Englishwoman living in Kerala, southern India, with my two sons and one daughter. We've been in India since September 2003. I also have a Malayalee partner although I'm still desperately bad at speaking Malayalam.
I write in fits; sometimes I disappear for months when it seems easier to hide from life than be strong enough to look at it carefully enough to be able to write about it.
Although I use this site a lot more infrequently than some others, I have gained such a lot from the people I have 'met' and whose work I have read here. I am deeply disappointed about the BBC management decision to withdraw their resources from such a valued section of the BBC site.
