Hey there,
LL Waz Posted Dec 13, 2004
the real Shropshire Star is full of just such letters! I shall think of a reply.
The smell is wonderfully filling the whole of upstairs! I'll be dreaming of them tonight . I think it's just about ready, it's ripened noticeably even in just the last few hours.
I'll watch out for warnings and messages.

Oh Waz,
What pure undiluted joy!!
I shall be with you during every succulent morsel!!. Don't on any account clean your teeth BEFORE you eat it. In fact do not clean them until the taste has actually melded into your body!!
Green with but hoping that yours is as good as mine was!!
Bon appetit,

Hey there,

Ok AR1, excuse the unbrushed teeth, here goes...
First breath in the scent. Deeply. hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
All the troubles of the morning disappear.
Can't stop smiling now; shutting my eyes there's the tree, and the car port. The sun's out, the air's warm and dry. There's a weaver bird rasping somewhere.
One geat big bite through yellow skin into pink flesh......I'll get back to you later .
Hey there,

Of such deelicious pleasure are the joys of the world. and satisfaction.
Hope you tasted it all day!!
Lucky you. I am eating tinned ones which are not half as sensuous or fulfilling!!

Hey there,

At Waitrose they are to be found.
They are not as good as the fresh ones (obviously) an in Africa, they were a wonderfully easy fruit to bottle. I think that the tinned ones are too hard on the outside. Which of course they never are - being soft and yielding!!
Glad it lasted you so long.!
Now we are both going to feel deprived!!

Yes, we are .
When I asked for the er it was to bleep out the phrase 't****d ones'!
But I see now you have lost your reversing bleepers.

So sorry about them being out of stock. But the s will come in again!!.
I made a hash of that new addendum to my name, and then when I tried to change it I made an even bigger hash of itl
Don't forget Blackpool at nine tonight. I am so sorry that you missed the beginning. I rather hoped that that cop guy and the wife were going to gert together. They surely had very steamy sessions!! And sang in between!!.Magnifique!!
Go well Waz. My head still feels woozy. I wonder how long it will last.

Hey there,

Hi Waz,
I wonder if you watched Blackpool.
It really was an extraordinary ending, and one which I never expected!!. I had watched every episode, but I think that they tried to pack too much into that final episode and so the full thrust of what had happened was lost.
But I was happy that the cop and Natalie got together. What was absolutely amazing was the fact that the husband aided and encouraged Natalie to go back to the cop. It was such a change in his attitude, that I burst into tears.
Oh well!!.

Hey there,
LL Waz Posted Dec 18, 2004
AR1 should you still be feeling woozy? You did get checked out at the time didn't you, did they say how long you might feel the effects?
I missed most of Blackpool, only saw about twenty minutes when I got back from the village hall. And someone phoned at the end of it. On the other hand the do in the hall with the local Morris dancers, mince pies, mulled wine etc was unmissable .
I should get my video recorder fixed, I could have had both.
I enjoyed what I saw though, and yes, a surprisingly upbeat ending wasn't it? I want to know what happens next for Ripley! With the phone call I didn't catch the very end. Did the police actually charge anyone with the murder?
Hey there,
Also Ran1-hope springs eternal Posted Dec 20, 2004
Well thank you my dear Waz for your reply. I am so glad that you enjoyed your Morris dancing.I love it when I see it, but have obviously never done any at all.
I think that is what was so disturbing about this sitcom/drama."Blackpool" It seems as if everyone felt it had to be finished off quickly qnd so everything was crammed into the last episode. There apparently seemed a "reasonably" good motive for the murder i.e. self defence - but the problem was that it was the son who did it - and then the son and Ripley made up - anbd the "lovers" just disappeared, and the daughter looked as if she was going to get off with her step son, and and...and....and,,
Very unsatisfactory. And I real pity because the whole idea of combinng singing with straight play, and the permutations made it a really outstanding piece of TV theatre. Perhaps they wanted to finish it before the TV awards - but I wonder if that was a good idea.
I am beginning to rush around like a headless chik=cken trying to finish everything that I have to do.
Speak to you before Christmas.

A Happy, Peaceful, Merry, All Round Good Christmas AR1!
Just logging in while I eat breakfast . Then I have to get presents wrapped. My brother put all my plans for yesterday out by taking over the house for a project of his and I'm all behind. Worth it though.
We have a white Christmas here! . Just a sprinkling but very pretty.
I'm listening to Paul Mounsey and resisting the temptation to have a chocolate orange for breakfast.
Did you by any chance watch Chocolat yesterday evening? Beautiful film.
Have a good day AR1, you and K and anyone else you share it with.

Hey there,
Also Ran1-hope springs eternal Posted Jan 18, 2005
Very dear Waz,
I have just found this wonderful message for Christmas for K and I. Thank you so much.
I miss our chats and it is difficult to keep up with you. I have been to your home page and I am anot too sure what you mean. Do you want to just read journals or do you like to have more detailed postings. I know that I enjoy my friendship with you so much and I miss it when I do not have it. On the other hand I do know how incredibly busy you are with the UnderGuide.
My daughter in law has suggestd that I shoudl take someone on as a sort of personal secretary. I feel as if I have just no longer got the energy and motivation to do all the wretched correspondence which I have to do as the Appointtee for K and the Main Carer for my brother. I have so much to do, and unless I do it immediately I lose envelopes and then worry because I have not done the work.
Well they started the work today. And all of a sudden it has proved to be the best decision I have ever made to ask my darling brother to let the hot water and heating be fixed. The heating engineers have removed a HUGE cylinder/immersion heater plus an enormous water tank and pipes out of my linen cupboard!!. So hoorah I shall now have so much extra space.
And the old boiler which is in the kitchen is also going to be removed. I really feel as if my life is going to change and I shall hopefully get on top of what I ahve to do.
I send you so many good wishes my dear. Do keep in touch.
Also Ran1
I am going to try and find out if I can get my email address to you.
I now have all my thousands of documents arranged in alphabetcial order. Not yet filed together though.
I have a dear friend who has been helping me.
Hey there,
LL Waz Posted Jan 19, 2005
AR1 , good to hear from you here. I was thinking just yesterday of coming in search for you when you posted your journal about the boiler. I know the problem. When there're lots of conversation threads on the go it's difficult to keep track of them all.
As to what I meant before , ignore me, I was blethering. I do sometimes. I enjoyed the kind of postings we had before very much and I have missed them recently.
And as for UnderGuide stuff, sometimes I can't do all I'd like here and have to spread the time around. If I wasn't slow at stringing words together, not to mention typing, it would help! Perhaps we could share a virtual secretary. Do you have any particular preferences? Young? Dark? Handsome?
So glad you're getting the heating sorted out and extra space as a bonus. It always feels good having extra space. I feel that way every time I tidy up. The difference it makes, due to the rarity of the event, in enormous .
About the email, I've been having an awful problem accessing the hotmail one. Don't know why. So I've put my other one here A594524 as well. Needs to be used without the space either side of the @. I'll try hotmail again tomorrow - see if I can get in. If not I'll let you know and perhaps you could try the other one. Either way - look forward to hearing from you.
Back later AR1. It was a very frustrating day today workwise and I think it's catching up with me. Not to mention the evening's dancing. We're practising for Burns night. We need much practice.
Take care, you of you as well as you of K.
Oh, and keep an eye on those repair men,
Waz
Hey there,
Also Ran1-hope springs eternal Posted Jan 31, 2005
Dear Waz,
Thank you for your lovely letter. You made me laugh so much about keeping an "eye" on the heating engineers. The one poor young man, who waws very tall, had to spend half his time doubled up inside my linen cupboard removing all the old pipes and equipment and then putting in the new ones for the radiator which I now have in the bathroom.
What a blessing that is!!. Our wretched block of flats does not believe in allowing us to have a drying space outdoors. So every single thing has to to be dried in side. The result is that we are festooned with washing for most of the time. Very dreary I can assure you.
I thought of you on Burns nicht and hoped that you were having a really jolly time. Did you go to Crewe again (I seem to remember that is where you celebrated the last one)My young next door neighbour came over to see me yesterday afternoon. Her parents live at Tzaragosa and apparently go down to the coast after Christmas. Apparently there was an ETA bomb there and it was where her ;arents were staying. She had phoned them and fortunately they were not injured. She has the most adorable little boy called Oliver and he and I are great friends.
She is also one of the very few people who has always been very good and understanding of K. which is great. I am fortunate in having her for a neighbour. I have decided that it might be wiser for me to have a "communication" cord round my neck so that if I do fall or something, I can easily contact someone. I have more of the most beautiful photos of my newest great grand-daughter. She really is the most beautiful little person.
Have a good week my dear.

Hey there,
LL Waz Posted Feb 1, 2005
And you AR1, I emailed you earlier by the way.
Repair men always need an eye kept. Being very tall is not ideal for a heating engineer. I'm so glad to hear you're clean again! So how many baths have you had this week? Caught up yet?
Our Burn's night was on Saturday. Had a great time. With all the works; bagpipes, haggis, speeches, dancing . I was overhung on Sunday but not from drink. Alchohol puts me to sleep, the dancing I can get drunk on. And did.
I'm glad you have a good neighbour. I don't know mine that well but I know they'd help if I ever asked. Communication cord sounds sensible and on Great Grandmotherdom again. How many's that?
I'ts late and I need to go. I'm sure I have a meeting tomorrow am, can't think what but I'll find out when I get there. Fingers crossed the young girl who helps me is back. Her family had a house fire just after Christmas - they lost everything, were lucky to get out themselves. I'm sure it would do her good to get back into a routine, and where things are 'normal'.
Keep well,
Waz
Hey there,
Also Ran1-hope springs eternal Posted Feb 10, 2005
Dear Waz,
I sent you a loooooong email. Hope I didn'tscare the daylights out of you!!.
I was sooo cross this morning. I have a septic toe - and of course that is not the best of news with diabetes. So I called the doctor and they sent a district nurse round. I was in the kitchen, with my headphones on listening to the marvellous news of the impending marriage of these two love-torn middle aged dears. Suddenly I had something thrown against the kitchen window. I looked up, saw a face I did not recognise, rushed to the front door - and was met by an irate distrcit nurse who said
"I have been waiting outside for ages" - and made as if to take my head phones off.
I just glared at her and told her in an icy voice that the District nurses from the Health Seruvce treated us all abominably and I thought it was disgrceful. That I was not told she was coming or I would have left the front door a little ajar because the doorbell does not work - and I ahve phoned up the reapir people to come and fix it but still no luck. I also told her that I had been a radiogrpher and I would never ever have spolen to a patient in such a tone of voice.
Anyway, she did not say much, and eventually I apologised for losing my temper - I thought she might have said sorry for having been rude, but nothing doing.
She agreed that the toe was septic, asked me if I was allergic to anything. I said various things so she asked me if I was allergic to iodine. I said not. Fortunately I have no feeling in my toes so it did not hurt!!.
Why are people so rude to one I wonder.
I do try so hard to be independent and not be a nuisance to anyone. It is as if others resent it. I think that is why I have been so chuffed about the invitation to do that research. It has boosted my morale no end.
Do write when you ahve the time. I promise not to ear bash you again with family background!!.
WITH AFFCTION

Heyla Dearest AR1
If I were you luv I'd complain! I'm currently having a moan at the NHS for really bad service (waiting nine months for a 10 minute appointment with a consultant)
One wonders what this woman would have done if she'd found you lying in agony on the kitchen floor? Walked off as a waste of her precious time? Jobsworths. And not even the decency to apologise! Letter time methinks - you got her name didn't you?
