Whereabouts in Essex are you,madbeachcomber.Lived doen that way for nearly 4 years when I did my nurse training in the 1980's.(Orsett Hospital,near Grays)Also worked at Basildon Hospital for a while.
PS.I'm a bit of a biscuitaholic myself.

Hello there Compo. Thanks for dropping in, you are my first visitor (apart from a couple of aces who popped in to very kindly welcome me). I live on the sunny
Essex coast at Clacton, I'm afraid I don't know Basildon or Grays, I'm a north Essex, south Suffolk bod.
I had a peek at your page to see who I was talking to and had a chuckle at your reply to 'What music are you listening to now?' Canned Heat - on the road again was--and sometimes still is-- the bain of my life. My partner had a phase of singing that one line over and over again until we finaly found out who sang it and got the track. Now I get the whole song!
I see you were a 'Goodies' fan too, great show I loved the one with the geese flying over to the dam busters tune 
. As for the 'Banana splits' I think you needed a bit of 'chemical' help to watch them!
