*Small package drops through BC's door. Inside is a gold medal on which is inscribed:*
Hootoo Award for Extreme Dignity in the Face of Being *Outrageously* Patronised by a Third Party While Standing One's Ground in the Middle of a Serious Discussion
As Organised by the Impromptu Committee of Those Too Cowardly to Post as Much on the Thread Itself
*Sound of feet running away*

thankyou
I found Dealer quite annoying there
although I often disagree with Mckay he gives as good as he gets and doesn't carry grudges from one disagreement to another

Well, exactly: it was like some self-appointed Kindergarten teacher turning up all of a sudden 'Cripes, we're in trouble now!'

it was probably a good job I didn't post right after I read it
kindergarten teacher is a good discription
a lot shorter than self-righteous sanctimonious prig
not that I'm bitter or anything

Just had a little run-in of my own now. So I thought I'd drop in, take a deep breath and yell
@RSE!
... and calm down a little
I'm trying to work out if he actually *means* to be that patronising

I got the impression (from the time he/she joined at the end of the DW that Dealer is sometimes a bit of a troll)

Yes, I know what you mean: everyone assumed he (?) had to be a sock-puppet, swooping in and delivering the coup de grace. Not exactly your typical newbie.
I think I got a bit carried away last night I was *extremely* patronising back anyway It's calmed down a bit now - relatively civilised - but I'm not relaxing just yet.

if I was Anhaga I might've got annoyed at being told my thread involved no intellectual challange and was pointless
