Two's company, and three is a crowd. I was deterred slightly by your friend butting in on our conversation unannounced. I was stupid enough to even say hello and did not receive an acknowledgement of my existence. I won't do that again in a hurry,
later,
Arty

I did indeed, and I used to grow orchids in my garden years ago. I lost that enthusiasm however when they were all devoured by an unfriendly squad of starving haggi early one summers morning. What a mess they left.. anyhoo, I'm glad you can receive pleasure from having the(bee-orchids),I can imagine they're a sight for sore eyes, I wish you a lorra lorra luck in keeping them!

The orchids should be fine, they seeded themselves there, so they must be happy with the enviroment. Whether they multiply remains to be seen.
Fortunately we don't have any wild haggi here.

Yes, you have to consider yourself lucky in that respect as they aren't the most pleasant of creatures to encounter.
I guess the seeds were more than likely amongst bird-droppings, isn't nature wonderful
I remember whilst on holiday years ago I went fishing for trout in a land-locked loch.
The loch was basically if you like a water filled crater in a hill and miles from anywhere.
To my surprise I learnt from my friends that the loch was not in fact stocked with fish but had wild trout, pike etc living in it's depths.
I wondered for a while before I realised that birds in fact catch small fish and drop them whilst in flight, hence the natural stocking of the loch...wonderful, and very tasty they are too..!

Nature is wondeful eh! It is always full of surprises. Such a shame that many don't appreciate it and think its thier right to dump rubbish in a wildlife haven, with no concern for the local wildlife.

Oh sorry babes she's 20. To hell with the zimmer, gimme one of those wee cars they all whizz around on in the supermarket aisles..you know the mini-dodgem type scooter things that get in your bl***dy road all the time How are things with you then? Is the garden looking good, I'd imagine after all the rain your grass is a lot longer!

Have you seen how fast the oldies go on them things!
Theres one that comes in our shop, she zooms down the centre like a thing possessed. I'm waiting for the day her brakes fail abd she just carries on going through the automatic doors
We've hardly had any rain here. A couple of hours of drizzle yesterday was all we got. My lawn is starting to go a bit brown in places The little orchids don't seem to mind though. I will have to get the hose out today and give the whole garden a good soak, ready for the soaring temperatures we're to have at the weekend. Just my luck i'm working too.
My health is showing no improvement yet 'sigh' I go back to the hospital again at the beginning of August.
Hows things in your neck of the woods?

I had no idea you and Claudia were that close.
Its a shame she did'nt have the good manners to ask me if i minded having my picture sent out.
I hope it did'nt scare you too much
Zoooooooom!!!
Artisan Posted Jun 26, 2005
Hey it was my fault Jen, not Claudias. I asked her for a pic and she sent it. I'm sure she didn't think anything of it at the time, as I had to ask who was sitting beside her.
I didn't think you would mind that much either as you had already agreed to send one to me anyway. Please accept my apologies for causing any bad feeling,
Artisan
