Oh no, m'dear. I ain't saying the "why" of the grins. Not on an open line ... That might incriminate me.
I's sorry the work is so dull for you. I've been keeping any number of body parts crossed for ya ... for with the job hunt or a lottery. Have you any idea how hard it is to walk or drive with ... Well, I'll leave all of that to your imagination.

tsarina Posted Mar 12, 2006
Awwwwwww go on.........be a devil and incriminate yourself
I keep looking out for jobs in the local press but there's not much about at the moment. At least, not that I fancy doing anyway......sometimes it's better the you know than the you don't huh?
As for winning the lottery.....it helps if you buy a ticket first don't it?
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Mar 12, 2006
Buy a ticket? Wot a novel idea !!! I wonder why I hadn't thought of that.
And nawww, I can incriminate meself without a word. For instance, milady is out shopping now, with quite a on. I'm not quite sure what I did, or didn't do, but I know that I'm in the (or is that the ) house ...

*drops by with a strong , and still a bit of a from a week-end chat ...*
I hope the week is treating you well, fine Lady H.

tsarina Posted Mar 14, 2006
funnily enough, I've just been across to the local coffee shop and bought a nice big frothy ......you must be a mind-reader
Yes, it was lovely to chat again and the brief exchange with M'Lady as well ......don't get to speak to her very often!
I've just been eating sleeping and working so far this week but have a friend coming down on business at the end of the week and she'll be staying with me for thursday and friday nights .....she's my oldest friend and we were in school together in prehistoric times It will be good to see her and spend some 'girly' time together though!
How's life treating you this week?

My week hasn't been so good ... I woke around 2 am yesterday with a pounding and throbbing Even with generous measures of ibuprophen, I still went home around 9:30. I had the shakes, nausea and just couldn't think straight. Today, it's about half of what it was. I guess it's another novel little buggy going around. Oh woo-hoo, eh? Changing seasons and weather are fun that way.
Anywho, wonderful to hear of the friend coming for a visit. Have you already put the required notice in the local papers? Any take-away deliveries to be done only but young and cute lads ... The 'gratuities' will be negotiated.
s, es a-plenty, and a completely random , ... just 'coz.

tsarina Posted Mar 14, 2006
Oh dear! Sounds like you could do with a gentle caring to cool your fevered brow ......
Hovers close by wearing a PVC nurses uniform and clutching a cold wet cloth and a thermometer
you're not feeling so good again ......you really don't do winter well do you? Maybe you should get one of those daylight lamp thingamewotsits that you can get to use during the winter months that are supposed to make you feel all happy and jolly instead os S.A.D?
From what I've seen of the local delivery 'lads' I think we'll be passing on that one ......the opne that delivers for the chinese take-away looks like a hippy relic from the '60's......long, lank, greasy hair and a beer belly ......think I'd rather turn lesbian
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Mar 14, 2006
M'dear, such a caring and comforting is ALWAYS a welcome idea.
I normally do winters pretty well. But this one has been so mild, (our warmest in recorded history, apparently) and spawned a continuous cycle of nasty bugs. Between half of my work-mates sneezing and spewing all day, and milady facing the same at her office, ... We've never been able to fully clear up. I think we need a vacation, ... and I hear Wales is lovely.
If your delivery folks are that bad, good Lady, I suggest that you lay in a good stock of frozen entree's, and a keg or two of full-bodied . And just lock the world out for that couple of days.

Hello Nick
Don't know whether you're about today or not (can't see you on the online list) but thought I'd sent a quick note while I've got a quiet minute or two.......few and far between these days
Hope you and M'Lady are having a restful and quiet weekend?
Now......about these fantasy outfits ......what would be your favourite one? French maid? Nurse? Dominatrix?
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Mar 19, 2006
Oh dear, are ya trying to nail me down with "fantasy" ideas? What say I just reply with a yes, yes, yes, and on principle ... a few more "yes's". So long as any marks or bruises ease out, ... It's all in fun.
We're doing well, and keeping the week-end quiet'ish. Yesterday got us the mug-shots for our passport applications. I simply look deadly, milady looks like someone you DON'T wanna meet in a darkened alley. Anyway, the papers are all filled out, we only need the signatures of the guarantor. And a -load of money. Hopefully, by Monday or Tuesday, it'll all be met.
We did the rest of the usual groceries yesterday. Today, a work-wear store started a sale on some really comfy safety (steel-toe and electrical safe) sneakers. And I need a new pair. AND, I had a $50 gift card from Christmas. So in we go, I get me shoes, ... and milady bought SEVEN tops !!! It's not fair !!!
How are you getting on? I saw a post "over there", and you seem still pretty miffed about a chap ...
The tiara suits you well ....
tsarina Posted Mar 19, 2006
So any old fantasy will do huh? I thought you were more discerning than that ......I'll just go rummage in the bottom of the wardrobe and see what I can find to dress up in .......
Oh yes.......still haven't heard a word so am resigned to the fact that whatever it was we had is finished. I'm not prepared to put my life on hold until he decides to get in touch again. So, am out there and available again if you know any Canuck millionaires with impeccable taste and a good sense of humour

Hey, when the day is getting old, ... and so am I, ... who am I to be choosey?
I am sorry, Lady, but I suppose you and I both know that "stuff" happens, we suck it in, and just keep plugging along as best we can. Sometimes, we have the satisfaction of knowing though, that someone else is the worse for it all. It's small, but it is a reality, eh?
So. I know that you'll be plenty busy, I expect these wires to be cr@p again, and my connection worse. But if you find the time, you can filter out the really juicy stuff, and tell me how the couple days with the friend went for ya. (Of course, the really GOOD stuff is always welcome, ... double-spaced, in a plain brown wrapper, to the address below ... *

I haven't been in touch the last couple of days but work has been kinda manic and I haven't been feeling too sociable lately. That's nothing to do with you, just the way I've been feeling of late Am tired and a little run down I think!
As you say......the bottom line is that it's his loss but it still hurts I'm afraid! I really thought he was different and wouldn't treat me this way but there you go.....just shows I've got it all wrong yet again
Nothing juicy to report from my visit with my old school friend. She stayed over for two nights and we had lunch in Cardiff Bay on Friday. she then left on the Saturday morning to visit her daughter who's in Uni in Birmingham......nothing very exciting really. Was just nice to see her and catch up on the gossip We did have a bottle or two of wine over the two nights, just to keep the vocal chords lubricated of course

No worries, Lady. With h2g2 being so easily overloaded lately, I only drop in once or twice a day, ... to deal with what-ever notes might be waiting. I'm a couple days away from being here for 2 years now, and I think I've mostly lost my interest in the place. If it weren't for the contact with some very special friends, ...
I'm glad you had a pleasant enough time with your friend. It's not the kind of thing I am ever likely to do though. I'm not sure if I'd even recognize more than 1 out of 15 of my school-mates. Guys or gals. I left that area nearly 30 years ago, and except the occassional visit to my parents, have nothing in common with anything or anyone there.
I have spoken with a couple of other friends lately who have also experienced the "blahs". The no energy, enthusiasm and even a bit depressed. Maybe it's that the winter has seemed so long? Most are just anxious for sun, short-trousers and sandals, and loads of fresh air without freezing important bits off.

Jill is the only friend I still keep in touch with from my long lost school days and we've known each other for 40 yrs now..........wow! that makes me feel old old old!!! We'll always be friends now I guess I did go to an old school reunion some years back and, to be honest, it was quite frightening. All those women I knew as young girls and how they've changed over the years .......mind you, I probably frightened a few of them too
This winter has been very long over here and particularly cold ......so it's probably just a case of the winter blues and other stresses and worries. Am sure I'll be fine once things start to warm up a bit I could do with a decent holiday too but not prospect of that in the near future
& a big bear

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Mar 22, 2006
As far as I am aware, the school that I dropped out of has never done reunions. But if they did, I'd be of a mixed mind. It'd be to see how poorly some of the "IN" crowd have aged. But it would also be sad to see what has become of the pretty girl I had a crush on, lo those many years ago ...
You shoulda taken my offer a month or so ago. When we had nearly 2 weeks of steady 10 - 14 C temps! It was a lovely false spring. Of course, if the real thing ever arrives, you are just as welcome.
And just what kinda -? I've met a few real ones, usually around 3 am, in the middle of the bush-lot of Manitoba. And believe me, I'd not really wanna any of them. They stink !!!

Hiya Nick
It's been really busy over here the last couple of days and I've been really ill I spent my days off in bed with a flu-like bug and even missed out on Mothers Day lunch with the kids cos I was too ill to go. Didn't eat for 3 days and only got out of bed to visit the bathroom, get a drink of water and feed the cats.......even that was an effort Am on the mend now but still not 100% yet!
How's everything with you?
Oh yes.......guess who's been in touch recently? Am going to start calling him the Elusive Pimpernel I think
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Mar 29, 2006
Well I'm gonna guess that the pimpernel ain't Canuck, ... as they is kinda obvious. Hmmmm, ... that day and contact at a time, huh?
I am sorry that the bugs been finding you. But I do know how it has been this year. Both sides of the ocean have been odd, and bugs of sorts hAve found a toe-hold. What ya needed was a good and proper Canuck zone to latch on to. It may not have prevented a bug, but the warm and "other" feelings woulda made it all feel so much easier.

tsarina Posted Mar 29, 2006
Hmmmmmm he might as well be in Canuckland for all I get to hear from him or speak to him lately. The excuse this time was that he's been working 7 days a week but, my argument is, how long does it take to send a quick txt to say Hello and How are you? Will see how long it takes him to get in touch again this time ......he also reckoned he hadn't had a txt from me in a good couple of weeks, although I've sent at least one, if not two txts a week .......am definitely bewildered, baffled and confused .......not that that's difficult to do
A nice 3 week break in Canuckland would be wonderful right now but alas.......that lottery win is still being extremely elusive .......just have to keep plugging away I guess
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Mar 29, 2006
Skip the lottery. Just tell 'em yer going to Ireland or some such, and then point a very rabid looking dill pickle at them. They'll bring you here soon enough.
's a plenty and a promise of a jingle-dingle-phoney-thingie
