Oh, THOSE "people". Well for the most part, they have not been amused. They think that anyone who has imbibed that much should be shackled. Preferably out of their immediate view. Thankfully, it has never stopped me from enjoying life to the full. Regardless of the consequences. (Which, sometimes, are embarassing to SOME people. Not me, though. I have no shame. )

The pleasure is all mine. I'm sure I've run into you on a forum before. It's hard to remember where. (drunk?) I love finding new conversations and people. Some of the best people I know in this world, Ive met here. From all over the world.

So how come 90% of the people I meet are from the UK?

That's probably about right. I've talked to some from N.Z., Australia, the U.S., Holland, and even a couple from Canada. Most people are from the UK, though. You're right. There are a lot of researchers I'd like to meet in real life. Such fascinating conversations.

Do people there get together often? The closest researcher to me is only an hour away. There are a couple from the States in Pennsylvania, about 6 hours away.

I only know of 2 UK get togethers that have happened. One was a rounders match that happened last summer and then a Chrimbo gathering in the pub.

The official H2G2 birthday is the 28th April. So it should be quite soon.

We could keep our rooms at the Sheraton until the 28th, and celebrate the h2g2 birthday in Niagara Falls.
