There was a teletext article yesterday saying that most Internet addicts are addicted to the chat rooms. *weakly* these forums wouldn't count... would they??

There's a whole load of articles kicking around about internet addiction.. one I read recently said it wasn't addiction because it was sociable, or something like that which I think is fair enough! (That's the line I'm sticking with anyway! And anyway - it's not harming me... is it...?

If I'm on then average about 2 hours , I suppose. But not on h2g2, online generally. Except for times when lots of pepole I know are icq-ing then often 4 hours. But not on daily... average? dunno!

You're not a net addict then. But I am. I spend about four hours on here on school days (which means I have to do my homework until really late) and the occassional eight at weekends. And when I'm not on here I tell myself I should be. "just five minutes," I say, and then spend two hours here..
I think I'll seek councilling.

8 hours??? Good grief! Having said that - If I had the time I most probably would spend more time online.. it is fun!
And conscious of becoming a total net head (and even more conscious of my phone bill) I'm off after only 1 hour... but may well return later..
