North & South!

Post 1

shrinkwrapped

I read your comment in the 'What Music...?' thread.

North and South came to my school on a promotional visit, back when they actually thought they could make it.

While they were in the main hall signing autographs for the year 7 and 8 girls, protected by all the staff, masses of people trouped over to the N&S transport vehicles - huge, black four-wheel drives. They shredded the tires, scratched the paintwork and covered the windscreen with lipstick, and geered as the 'band' departed.

Oh, how we laughed. I mean, I don't condone vandilism of any kind, but I was secretly proud of the few thugs who did the darstedly deed. That, I think, will have been the last time Harriet Costello, Basingstoke, will ever be visited by the promotional tour of a manufactured group. Which can only be a good thing.

Coooool.

I did like N&S. But then again, I was, what, Year 6. *grins*
Actually I still think they were fairly cool. smiley - winkeye

Well, until the guy with the green hair (James of all namessmiley - blush) dyed his hair red and yellow. I wasn't too interested after that.
