smiley - smiley get well soon.... or not if you don't want to.

I'm back, sad really, back to the lovely English summer... someone should write about that.

Fantastic time, saw most of Seattle (space neadle is great), Vancouver, Jasper and Banff. Climed mountains (well... took the cable car!). Found the filming locations of Northen Exposure, Dantes Peak (completely by accident), and Due South/x-Files/lost more are filmed in Vancouver. Panned for gold (and found it!), found petrified wood :-0 , and some sort of trilabite that we havent been able to idenrtify yet. Great fun really,

Yeah, back thanks!

Never been to Pensilvania, didn't know you lived there. I did see the aurora though!!!! First time, really superb. Only green but spactacular none the less. Watched it for 1hr 30 and was ably to explain about it to the locals. Ahh, the joy.....

I see that the whole University thing up and running. See you soon.

(ohh I like the whole password thing as I can login anywhere (currently at work [first day])) smiley - winkeye

Euh?

Dark skys as in......?

Hi There

A series of pages explaining the problem, where they can go to find good skies, what they can do to combat the problem...

It's a big enough topic that you should be able to write a few pages and make it into a full-fledged project at the University. smiley - smiley

I don't know if you read Astronomy magazine, but the August issue had a great article about Dark Skies which made me think of you and your efforts here. The text of that article can be found at [Broken link removed by Moderator]

Hmm.. I think that sound like quite a good idea. Using the word 'Project' does that mean anything in particular like I need lots of articles, or fancy graphics. And how do, well who do I tell to say that I'#m doing this?

I'll read the link (not now as I'm a work!)

The whole Field Researcher scheme is explained by following the link for the h2g2 University of Life on the front page.
Try that and if you've got any additional questions, I'll try and help out.
