Are you OK?

I haven't seen you on AIM lately, (not that I've been on it much either) and your journal says you're having problems.

Anything I can do to help?

Email me your address and I'll send you a box of smiley - choc or something.

*stalk, stalk*

Seriously, take care and drop me a line if you need/want to talk. smiley - hug

Awwwww Jim! Thanks for checking up on me smiley - hugsmiley - smiley

There's nothing you can do to help, no, nor anyone else... I'm just generally very down in the dumps. (and showing all the signs of clinical depression. I quote from one website, after a test - "Your screening results are consistent with clinical depression. Your answers also show you might be at risk for harming yourself. You are advised to see your doctor or a mental health professional immediately for a complete evaluation — or dial "911" or go immediately to the nearest hospital Emergency Room for an evaluation.")

Though really, I'm okay, I'm living... Barely, but I'm living.

But how are you?

Me?

I'm doing surprisingly well as a matter of fact... Odd that.

I just received my yearly evaluation at work and it was all aces and I even got a bonus! And I was getting ready to quit and go someplace else too. smiley - silly I reckon I'll stay a bit longer - unless the BBC opens a Pennsylvania bureau in the near future! smiley - winkeye

I've fought depression for a long time.
Not much I can say on the topic that'll be helpful - only ever thought about harming myself once but decided it was the coward's way and immediately banished it from my mind. A certain amount of depression is 'normal' among teens, but once you get past 30 it's a bit harder to justify. Seriously, if you start feeling overwhelmed, do visit the doctor/psychologist - not necessarily for pills, but for coing skills.

And don't forget, if you ever need a helping hand, I'm probably lurking in the bushes in the backyard beside the garden gnome so give me a shout! smiley - winkeye

Wow, that's really cool. smiley - ok Congratulations! smiley - biggrin

Nah, /suicide/ is the coward's way out. Harming yourself/self-injury is almost the opposite of suicide in a way.. (I'm sure you've read http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A579297 - Self Injury...)

I'm not overwhelmed with it really. I'm pretty much used to it -it was only due to those tests the other day that I realised I was depressed. (I had previously thought I was just having a bad few months) So I'm coping. smiley - biggrin

We didn't have a gnome until that green one walked in the other day. I guess that was you then? smiley - cool
