Hi Ben, thought I'd bring you this:

I personally delivered Z to the airport, safe and reasonably sound - thanks for lending him to us

So-o-o-o-o-o-o how did it go? How many blisters? Are there photos? Tell! Tell! Tell!

I have a few photos on my mobile, but we all ended up leaving our cameras in the car because of the rain - so I'll just have to draw a cartoon instead!

As I'm sure you've heard, we only managed to finish the 50k, but we decided it was a training walk for next year

The ground was very boggy, and we lost a lot of time for which we blame 2legs - or rather, leg 2, which took us 5 hours That's why we decided to switch. There was also the fact that I was slowing everyone down (because my boots turned out not to fit as well as I thought, and gave me huuuge blisters on my toes by 10k - I can still only wear open sandals) - but I'm sure they'll all be far too polite to mention that.

But we did all get along very well, and we're quite well matched in pace, too, so I think we have ourselves a walking team. Z is already planning all the training walks we'll have to do before next year (awww, he's so enthusiastic!) and it looks like you'll be dragged along to Northern Ireland soon, too, because we didn't have enough time for sightseeing.

So all in all, it was wonderful.

It was great fun, actually.
