Thank you so much for what you've done.
And yes I know others were part of it...and Z played a bit of a role
But it's important for me to express this feeling.
Thank you

Thank you Effers.
We know how much h2g2 means to everyone here because we're a part of it. It really was Z's idea, and I doubt that either of us could have done as much if we'd "married out".
We want it to continue to be the most unbland thing any of us have ever encountered.

Hey Mrs Zen,
Thanks for being so bloody civilised about that confusion we have about communication..and you wanting to unsub from the 'fight' thread.
I think that is so brilliant if we can get into habits like that in noohootoo.
It makes me feel extremely optimistic about our future.
(I don't want to get into the actual issues themselves at present..big stuff isn't it?..but it's all looking good for our future).
Thank you
Mrs Zen Posted Jul 1, 2011
Hi Effers
I'm not sure if "bloody civilised" is a good thing or a bad thing
Heh heh heh.
I am really hopeful about our future, and I am glad you are as well.

It's been a long night..and well I've been pretty shocked about the whole cover-up to do with Lord Wolfden. The poor guy basically had learning difficulties which I'd always assumed..and I'd assumed others would have known.
It's just not on that people here would pretend he was some sort of 'troll' or whatever name is given for an unwelcome person here.
It's upset me horribly to find that yes, all the horrible treatment meated out on him, was with the full knowledge that he was a few sandwiches short of a picnic..but he had a good heart.
I do not want such a thing to ever happen in noohootoo. That is someone who just has a disability..but has no malice in them is treated like Lord Wolfden was.
Thank you
Effers;England. Posted Jul 2, 2011
Mrs Zen please get in touch about this with me when you have a moment. I still can hardly believe that such a thing would happen on h2g2. Lord Wolfden was such a vulnerable person and this is *horrible* Fluffy just discovered it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F2095978?thread=730758 I know you were angry with me about that 'fight' thread..and maybe thought I was violent or something..maybe in my inner psyche I am..but I could never do this kind of bullying. I'm so upset I hardly know what to do. And since Fluffy drew attention there's all this crp at the end of the thread about not disturbing his ps and let him rest in peace. It stinks. It's all about covering up abuse. I'm just so shocked.
Thank you

It's to do with the thread we've had here about h2g2's past and remebrances. I posted about Lord Wolfden yesterday very fondly..I knew others didn't like him..but sake he was *vulnerable*
Thank you

Hi Heavy Sleeting - I know everyone still calls you Effers, - but do you prefer Heavy Sleeting?
Mrs Zen's in bed with what I think is a migraine now - she hasn't been online since last night. Neither of us were on h2g2 a lot during the time that the LW affair happened, so it's difficult to see anything other than you can see. I think a lot of things happened that now can't be seen on site, it was all very destructive though.
I very much doubt that the BBC can legally give us the private details of what happened between them and researchers like LW in the past.
What we can say is that we do both feel that h2g2 should be a broad church and a safe space for people with all sorts of disabilities. That means making sure that we have skins that people who have visual disabilities can read with screen readers, and also making it easier for people with other disabilities to join in and interact. We are committed to doing this, and you've raised an important issue that we need to give plenty of advice and thought to.
Thank you

I prefer Effers..but either is fine. I think it's a bit of cultural h2g2 issue and certain things coming to a head..and because I passionately believe in certain principles of fairness, I'm digging my heels in. That can be hard to set a precedent. Taff is with me.
I know I had a bit of a confusion with Mrs Zen last week..but please tell her how passionately I try to fight for what I think is right. I think she probably knows that really. It's been a massive shock to me to see kea in a different light. But I ain't compromising. Who knows how the dynamics will carry on...it's all a bit weird...
Give Mrs Zen a big kiss from me to help with her migraine..
Z

Yeah - I know that some people change there h2g2 name because they don't like it being used to refer to them any more - so just wanted to check.
It certainly is an important issue, and it's about more than one flame war five years ago - it's about inclusivity - which is really important.
Thank you

The BBC failed Effers as a name all of a sudden. But people call me that still which I like.
Look basically there's a lot of cultural dynamic stuff happening I think. But the good will prevail...
Thank you

You did remember to give her that kiss right? I think kisses are quite important at present...tell her I said that.
Thank you

I'm still very very raw about everything. But we are in transition and I think it might be a good thing to have upheavals..but we need to get back together again as well.
I'm extra sensitive about some things. Thats my psyche. But I'll live.
Lovely to have you back Mrs Zen.
