Not bad.
Seems every time I speak to you there is a mini jedi on the way, but another is due in November /December
Got a new job, same place different role, less techy
Still not doing any writing, but it tends to be a bit cyclical, and one day it will start. (Probably around the time I have a mid life crisis and buy a Harley and pack in the job.)
Popping into the AWW every now and again to resurface some of the more criminally neglected pieces.
Hows things with you?

Oddly similar without the incipient sprog. (Sprogs are good!)
I've got a permanent job and am house hunting. Haven't done any poetry for over a year, I think. Not sure whether to be worried about that or not. I think if the whole of 2005 is dry then I will be worried.
At the moment I am obsessing about houses, and gardens, and floor coverings, and mortgage offers, and stuff like that. At the moment I am reminding myself that it'll be worth it once it's done.

Funny how writing and a permanent job seem to be a bit mutually exclusive. Homebuying is an absolute pain, especially in England. Good Luck
I leave the gardens and all DIY decisions to Lisa. We have a very amicable arrangement. She likes DIY and I don't, so she decides.
HAve tried to do a collaborative piece with a friend of mine who needs to write more and try and get published, kindof killing 2 birds with one stone. Unfortunately it died a death very early. Luckily I have noted all the ideas I've had in the last 2 years, so I have about 3 notepads full. Funny how a technophile like me needs to write with pen/pencil and paper.

I saw Ian Dury at the Cheltenham Literary Festival, (old punks never die, they appear live on stage at literary festivals - though he did die, alas), and he described how he wrote his lyrics.
He said he would get giant pieces of paper spread out over a large table, and "a fast pencil".
