So, I'm sitting at home, minding my own business, surfing the music channels.
So, I get to Q, or something, and there's an arresting image of a couple in a pool surrounded by very convincing sharks which I assume are CGI. They're singing a high-pitched, fast paced, energetic song with about 130bpm over a hi-hat-tastic backing track. He has a funky falsetto and she's looks a bit like the woman who won Big Brother a couple of years ago, except with talent. I believe they are called "Scissor Sisters", and among young people are a popular beat combo. So far, so froody.
However, it is with a sense of rising horror that I start to recognise what I think it is this pair are warbling. "There is no pain you are receding."
Surely not, I think.
"My hands felt like two balloons."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
They've done a dance remix cover of Comfortably Numb.
I think I'd rather listen to Klenginem.
H.
