Hi B
Had a great time at Moll Flanders. I won't go into it though just in case you get to see it.
We had this weekend (15th and 16th) booked for you and Z to come to my house in manchester. Let us know if it's still on. If not we'll plan something else.
Would love to see you.
Alex.

Definitely up for it. Can we IM or - gasp - talk about it? I have a very cool friend here who I have a half-arrangement to see for lunch that day - would you like to come over this way, have lunch in a lunch-place and then we can go out somewhere for the afternoon. West Yorkshire must have tourist attractions.
Otherwise we can come over to yours after lunch, say 3.00ish, and play it that way.
Either way works for me.
B
PS - Glad you enjoyed Moll

I was going to ring last night but we went indoor climbing and was knackered when we got back.
Great glad you're up for it. Actually, I quite fancy getting away for the weekend. Even staying in a hotel for a couple of nights. I have persuaded SoRB to drive up on the Fri and smooch about in a hotel and meet you lot for lunch on Sat etc. Wherever the mood takes us. We then might go to the Bradford museum of photography on the Sunday, never been before.
Can you suggest any nice hotels near you or a pub type place? I've no idea what Halifax is like. Or we could stay in Hebden Bridge which I know is very nice and not too far.
Will ring tonight if you like.
Alex.

The Bradford Museum's good. There's other cool stuff around too.
What sort of place to stay do you want?
http://www.staupshouse.co.uk/ is impressive in a slightly odd way. It has a four-poster bed, it's on the outskirts of Halifax but it doesn't have en suites and it is death by cutsieness. This is the woman that cabbage patch dolls were made for. You need to have a slightly sideways approach to life to appreciate the full nuances of this one.
http://www.iknow-yorkshire.co.uk/accommodation/36-Badger_Fields_Farm-Blackshaw_Head.htm is a lot saner - a farmhouse up on the hills - people arrive on foot or on horseback, but once again no en suite. It's more than ok though, and probably first on my list of would-stay-there-agains.
http://www.bedandbreakfast-directory.co.uk/uploads/estate/hotels/hotels24229.htm is about a couple of miles from where I am at the moment, but not actually walking distance. I've not been there, but it has a good rep.
http://www.activehotels.com/servlet/xmlbrochure/index.do?hotelid=103085&day=&month=&year=&trkref=MAP&subid=leftlink&numrooms=&numnights=&language=&mode= I've not been here or seen here either, but it incorporates a tower which is - um - impressive. Worth climbing up, apparently, if you are a Fit Person.
This actually all sounds rather fab and funky!
