Hi B,
As I said in the atelier already I am not planning to stay there forever. However I'd like to stay there for about 4-5 years. That would be the time my kids would both have to change their schools.
The neighbourhood of that flat is not the best one atm but it's developing fast. It won't be a bad deal.
As about light - electricity could help.
Bathroom is what worries me the most.

It sounds positive - especially if the neighboughood is on the way up. Will it be an easy sale when you come to sell it?
No bathroom would worry me.
Er....
Why isn't there a bathroom?
Have you been able to get an estimate for the cost of putting one in? Improving houses is a very good way to make money, so long as they end up 'worth' more than they cost to improve. I'd have thought that a flat without a bathroom would be so off-putting to buyers that having one put in would make a big difference to the worth of the property. But to say I know nothing about Estonia is a real understatement!
How long would it take? Could you all stay somewhere else while the work's being done. I skedaddled off with the former PL while I had my bathroom fitted two years ago, leaving the poor Stepson to put up with peeing in a bucket for a week.

Ah-uh, the bathroom as WC is there (well, actually across the corridor ) but the bathroom as with bath or shower is missing. They only got the plumbing in the house couple years ago. I have been living without that for years by now, so I can survive a little more.
The people buying my house aren't in much hurry, so I have some manoeuvre time.
Flats like this are almost missing on the market so it would be easy to get rid of it again. It is the oldest part of town, it has been inhabited by all kind of asocial people for ages but by now most of them are gone. The house I am talking about is at the "clean" end of street.
What I also like a lot is that the room I could have for myself is about 30 sqm.

And anyway, I can comfort myself with the fact that moving in the middle of winter wouldn't be fun after all. I have loads of houseplants and the winters here can be -30C as well. For the moment it's +3C though.
And I can use the I had planned for moving for covering my dentist bills.
