h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I am extremely tired, and to a very small extent fulfilled. I won't feel properly fulfilled, however, until - in the euphemistic use of this term so popular in American teen movies - I ‘get some'...! Sorry to have to be so crude about it, but I wrote an article on this general subject some time ago which not enough people are reading, evidently...

We moved all our friends' furniture and other worldly possessions yesterday, and I stayed over and continued to help them unpack it all today. I also discovered where the Lark Hill winery was in doing all of this, because our friends now live just over the rise from the vineyards. Wine tasting parties are already being talked about as a possible part of summer's agenda. By the end of today, though, everyone was exhausted - even those who didn't stay over and just went home last night finished up having to go to bed early on Saturday night, which nobody was truly impressed about, but about which everybody otherwise felt much the same (see above: ‘tired but fulfilled'...). I also scored a rather nice waistcoat and tinned food in abundance as remnants were cast aside. I'll have to work hard to repay such indulgences, but they're worth it, I think!

Step this afternoon was hell, though, and I think my mouth may have been running away with me afterwards. I hope not, because I have a feeling that the second part of my first paragraph has a great bearing on what I was saying after the class...

Tragically, no. I'm beginning to think I'll remain 'unfulfilled' until the end of my days.... Oh well. There are worse things, I guess...
