Sunday night. The aftermath of a long and tiring weekend which involved social insecurity, lack of glycaemic control and alcohol in about equal measures. Much party was had.

Weather has been fairly uniformly awful for the last 24 hours or so: overcast, spotty rainy and cool. At least it was sunny for most of the actual party yesterday.

Finished up again sleeping fully clothed with one of the gruesome foursome from the last party, who gave me a lift home this morning and loitered for a few hours while being "hyper" on alcohol and adrenalin. This is becoming disconcertingly like a habit, but that first morning coffee tasted very good.

Hangovers are still bad, but this message will probably have cycled off the screen before the next one arrives...

alright, this is getting ridiculous!!! Enough with this fully clothed BS. You need to get some action. I'm not saying buck-naked action. Maybe just half-clothed action or barely-clothed action or, maybe, just you and her wearing nothing but socks. But, please, something.

Oh, you know, beautiful one day, perfect the next - not me, you understand, Queensland, where I've been relaxing for the past week (in the non-flooded/non-cycloned part, thankfully).

Now I'm back to work, and some nice people want to interview me for a nice new job, which is nice, and my stoopid in-tray can overflow as much as it likes - I just don't care 'cos I'm determined not to lose the effect of the relaxation just yet...

So, um, fine. You?

Um, pretty well, yeah....

No major news: still unemployed, but given the long overdue summer weather still not greatly concerned by it. I think that the "effect of the relaxation" is probably a way of life I endorse in a more than half-hearted manner.

I am pleased to hear that you avoided the torrential weather in Q. Good luck with the job - although I had no idea you were less than happy in the old one: any story to tell...?

Nope, no story - it's not that I'm unhappy where I am - far from it - but if other people want to think about offering me more money to do the same sort of thing - who am I to complain?
