h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

You may have noticed that I am putting together an H2G2 Uni Project on Belief. A853751.

The idea is not to look at specific beliefs, but to take a look at belief from above, (or maybe below), and see what it is, what it does for us, and how we do it. It is NOT about taking pot-shots at any one belief, but at seeing what beliefs have in common. My guess is that it will light more than enough fires as it is.

I specifically want to take the debate wide away from christianity, and I wondered if you would have anything to say on the subject of paganism. With most of the people I have invited to contribute, I have been able to suggest a topic or two that might whet their interest, but with you I am not sure what aspect of belief would lure you away from the silks and satins.

Anwyway, take a look at the entry about the project, and let me know here or there if you would be interested.

One jammy advantage is that you get an entry in the edited guide without all that tedious Peer Review stuff.

MaW is doing something about Wicca, but there is scope for more than one entry on the subject.

I could offer something non-specific about Paganism in general, what is common to each particular tradition etc. If that is suitable.

gorgeous... reckon Byron could do with a spell in your newly-furnished premises to sort him out. (here follows Moulin Rouge-esque 'does that inspire you' farce sequence.)

I reckon *I* could do with a spell of having Byron in my newly-furnished premises. It is bloody months since anyone sorted me out.

Hmm. I would like to see that in the Guide anyway. Would you like to write the entry, and then decide whether to put it into PR or into the Project?

I'll put you up for 'Pagan traditions' anyway, on the basis of the more the merrier, but I think it may sneak outside the project on the 'belief but not beliefs' rule.
