Do we show online, even when we're not on the site? I'm online all day at work, but only onsite for a bare few minutes (ostensibly - I've had not much to do recently, and haven't been away for longer than an hour or two at a time!
That's just me being curious...

I wouldn't think so... although I only look at the stats in the evening, to see if it's worth posting to some threads. I'll make a point of checking tomorrow at a specific time in the day.

Good idea! I'll be out of office (learning Excel Intermediate) between 10am and 12noon; I'll make sure I leave Netscape on but not attached to the site.
It's one of those experiments where you can't do it yourself, like looking at your own back. Self-destructive paradox: if I leave the on-line screen on, to see whether I'm on-line, I will continue to be online.
Does a tree make a sound when it falls in an unwatched forest?

Good plan. I like paradoxes, although they make me dizzy if I think about them too long.
I'm aware of your email, but the system's being all b*****y. I'll go and try again...

Sorry, I've been mailing someone. Now I'm still typing, but will press send to get to you in about three minutes...

Guess so. Now, if I posted to someone and hoped for a speedy answer, noting them to be online, I would be **so** irritated if they ignored me all day. I must really wind people up!

Just another Fenny message...
Dorothy Outta Kansas Posted Jul 27, 2001
Sorry I missed you! I saw you online, and thought I'd send you an email. Then you went off.
Hope you and Queex are enjoying householding (or is it just you?)
See you around - I will now be in Leics during the weekend, having been paroled from the Hen Nightmare (the Lamb is too sick to be a Stag, so the Hen gets to be a Wallflower - this at least, by preference!)
x x Fenny (the Wallflower)
And another one: a Fenny message...
Dorothy Outta Kansas Posted Jul 27, 2001
I pressed enter and it decided to start sending bytes - so there may be an empty simulpost above this one...
I hope the visit to the doctor went well... and I hope it wasn't all you led us to believe on the Perverts' Thread. I was looking forward to the email of Megabytes, but I imagine that if you're not on by 1:48am, you aren't going to be on until later on Saturday (at least not until the hours are in double figures!)
I sent you a couple of emails - perhaps only one - and will speak to you tomorrow, unless you're still soaking in luxurious decadence!
All the best
x x Fenny
Hi again
Dorothy Outta Kansas Posted Nov 20, 2001
As the title says!
Good to see you online tonight! What did you do? Break into PC World?
Good to see you on Sunday! I'm looking forward to trying on the strumpet. There's an opinion (being put forward by the Lamb, whose directives I usually follow, as long as they're sensible) which says Black is Best. It follows, therefore, that I wish to amend my order to read Burgandy Satin, with Black Trim. Could you bear it (and could you confirm to me that will be possible?) OOoooh, I am *so* looking forward to wearing it! Will it be ready by Xmas?
J bought a book of arty photos, on Sunday. At least, he insisted they were arty, despite my amused clarifications of p*rn! Then he had a closer look when we got home, and admitted that *perhaps* he didn't want our various parents to open it! Men!!

Hi again
Dorothy Outta Kansas Posted Nov 20, 2001
Stop press! I washed my hair last thing tonight, and I've just twisted strands and stuck them into a multi-clip-thing, to see what it looks like tomorrow (I am Queen of Straight Hair, and rather bored with my domain). I'll let you know!
x x F (Curled and hoping ZI comes with Dawn's Early Light)
This and that
Phryne- 'Best Suppurating Actress' Posted Nov 20, 2001
Welcome to your new domain... is there a more interesting crown?
Black trim it is, and it will be done by Xmas. I think it makes a better contrast, plus you can wear it with other colours since the black breaks it up more amicably. (ooh, technical!) We have an 'art' book also- only it was me who bought it, with part of the £40 book voucher I got for paying all my enrolment money at once. Sigh... still, £40 is lots! The book has proved most popular.
Many things happened after you left us... good and bad, will email you about it.

Yay! Sorry, reading the backlog took longer than I suspected! Awaiting your email with eager anticipation. Crown of ringlets was much fun. Unfortunately, the top of my head was messy, even while the tight ringlets were nice and neat, so I had to brush them out. But the hair kept in loose ringlets, and several colleagues (all women) noticed, so that was ego-boosting. I now know how to ringlet-ise my hair, and will be enjoying a Curly Christmas!
Black Trim and ready soon sounds good - looking forward to trying it on! I'm gymning daily, and dieting to silly degree, but I feel better for it!
Funniest fact from *my* sunday - I'll await your news - one of the books we bought included a glossary. And one of the authors' names was listed. 'Philip' cross-references with 'Toy Whore', or 'one who would sell his grandmother for another kinky device; see 'Philip'. Of course Philip is one of our roleplaying friends (who works with me) and of course I had to call him TW all day, without explanation. Did he deserve it? Yes (I was getting him back for his play on words - someone had asked me when I was going to 'produce brats', and he started calling me a 'Brat Factory'...)
OK, end now...

Wondering whether your nice moderation email has arrived yet? Interestingly, my page, saying "All my friends are being moderated" never was! You'd think that sort of truth would be moderated...

Screw the Roses! We have that one too. Excellent, and highly amusing.
'Brat Factory' is a good name, but I cannot picture you in a hideous shell suit with many screeching imps on reins up to your knees. (Maybe I should go into fortune telling- I once told everyone at school I could read hands, and told them horrible things if they'd been evil to me. Mind you, I told one of them he was going to be a bouncer, which he was thrilled to hear.)
Going off webbing to purchase books (which I will have to pay for) and boots (which I won't).
that and this, and more
Dorothy Outta Kansas Posted Jan 15, 2002
...why won't you have to pay for boots? I want free boots!
Nightmare! I'm sure that, even if I'm mother to twelve screeching horrors, I won't be trying shellsuits on!
Sorry, I could type more, but I'm feeling ucky with flu, so I'll leave it!

Erg! I must have been ill! I don't remember writing those bits above, that say how ill I felt!
Just a quick question: will you be at the B B B on Sunday? [adjourning an instant to admire the alliterative element of the previous sentence!] If so, we may see you - I'll drop you an email in case you don't see this message.
x x F (UT - Don't miss Queex, moving in the darkness next door; I was going to shine a flashlight into the shadows, but he moved too quickly)

Queex catches fire in the light. He's probably shuffling about cursing the 'White Face' as we speak.

We'll likely go, anyway. Shame we'll miss you!
