Hi
NVQAssessor Started conversation Mar 18, 2006
Hi Shaz
I am English and now living in the UK but really love Australia, I have a daughter who was born in Bundaberg and has now claimed her Aussie citizenship.
It would be really good to have some contact with some Aussie people again, as I have been lucky enough to get out there and meet the real Aussies, and have learnt how helpful they always.
I did 2 trips around Australia on a Norton Motorcycle, and there is my story on website www.jerrydoe.com if you would be interested to read it.
I hope to hear from you or anybody who may be interested.
Thanks
Roy

Hi there
If you want to introduce yourself to some Aussies your best bet is to pop over to A592049 which is their homebase here!
My father owned and rode a Norton for a number of years so I thoroughly enjoyed reading your account!
If you like I would be pleased to use your travel write-up in <./>ThePost</.>. A previous series about bikes which I think you may enjoy reading can be found here: A2854857
Let me know if you'd like to see your piece appear - we can use a few pictures to enhance it.

Hi
I wish I could make another trip back to Aussie I love the place.
If you would like to do a bit of a story, that will be ok with me.
I would love to hear from Aussies who may be interested, or would like to chat.
What sort of pictures would you like? and how can I send them or what email address can I send to?
Thanks
Roy
Hi
shazzPRME Posted Mar 22, 2006
Your best bet to meet some of the Aussie members here is to drop by their club page and introduce yourself. If you still have no luck let me know and I'll send someone over to say hello.
The email address to send photographs is at the bottom of each Front Page of <./>ThePost</.> - just click on the email link marked 'Article Submission'. Alternatively I can just take them from your webpage although they are a little on the small side.

Ok
I will sort some photos out for you in the next couple of days.
I had to scan them from originals to turn them into jpeg format.
If there are any you already would like me to send let me know.
Thanks again
Roy

Hi
Yes we did, thank you. Sorry for not replying sooner. I tend to take a short break from <./>ThePost</.> after publication day as I'm invariably busy IRL.
We publish every fortnight so I'll take a good look at the photographs and text this coming week and let you know if I forsee any problems.

Hi Shazz
Thanks for yor reply, I can send you different photos as I had those ones on disc I thought I would send them.
I can scan others if you let me know the type or things you would like.
Also any info on the ones I have sent.
Are you in Aussie? what is the weather like? it has been so cold here but the change is coming and getting warmer.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Roy,
Shazz has been having some computer problems and so I'm not sure if your piece will be appearing in this week's issue. I hope so, and until then can only beg your patience.

Yes, I'm enjoying it very much. Sorry about the lack of feedback - a problem we are quite used to here at The Post.
With your love of Australia you may enjoy rooting through the Archive of the Virtual Reinhard travelogues - plenty of Aussie/NZ pieces in there.
