Er...Hello
Trying to come up with realy really cool ways to introduce myself to those who might be browsing past this page I had literally thousands of ideas. No honest I did (none of them were actually 'cool' per se and thousands is actually an allowable exaggeration for two or three but you get the idea), but none of them were really appropriate.
So the best introduction I can think of is er...Hello.
There that's the awkward business of introducing myself over. I seem to have a quintissentailly english disposition for not wanting to thrust myself at others on the online community but I've taken the plunge now.
I would never have een heard of this site if it weren't for taking 'The Salmon of Doubt' out of the library recently and having the late great Douglas Admas point me in this direction in his writings. But now I'm here I'm glad I found it because it looks very interesting. Which is more than I would ever say about myself. In brief - I'm fascinated by evolutionary theory and all its implications and possiblities, love reading especially my favourite authors Terry Pratchett, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, P.G. Wodehouse, Arthur Conan Doyle, David Gemmell and of course Douglas Adams. I have a passing (very unauthoratative) interst in paelaentology, cosmology and poetry.
I also love sports, particulalry american football (GO Fins!) and football (Go Owls!). Like anyone else I love good comedy, written or performed.
Well I would mention enjoying hiking and cycling but this is getting to sound dangerously akin to a dating website entry (I imagine).
So if you've manged to dredge your way through all that firstly you deserve a cup of tea and secondly not only er..hello but also er.. nice to meet you!
